v1.46

Refunds category, Vault auto-import, clearer New chat

Exact and partial refunds file under a native Refunds category, with an Inbox alert when one lands. Vault auto-imports W-2s, pay stubs, and federal returns (confirm before overwriting). Screenshot holdings apply on the server. New chat sits above Home, account filters show last-4 and apply on click, and track chat can go full width.

Now you can

  • Native Refunds category plus Inbox when a refund lands
  • Vault auto-imports W-2s, pay stubs, and federal tax returns
  • Holdings from a screenshot or statement apply on the server
  • Labeled New chat above Home in the sidebar
  • Account last-4 in filters, applied as soon as you click
  • Draft product feedback for the Nino team from chat

New

  • Exact merchant refunds (and labelled partial refunds) file under a native Refunds category instead of Other Income or the merchant's spend rule, with a backfill for past credits.
  • When a refund is filed, you get an Inbox card and bell notification within minutes of the next sync.
  • Vault uploads auto-categorize; W-2s, pay stubs, and federal tax returns import on their own, and changes that would overwrite existing values ask for confirmation first.
  • Adding or refreshing a manual investment account from a screenshot or statement reads holdings on the server (you can leave the dialog) and fills institution, last-4, and account type from statements.
  • From chat, draft a bug report or feature request on a Feedback for the Nino team card, then review and send it yourself.
  • Track rooms let you drag the chat divider, snap a column shut, or expand chat to full screen.
  • Inbox conversations and insights offer Mark as read / Mark as unread from the context menu.

Updates

  • A labeled New chat row sits above Home in the sidebar so starting a conversation is easier to find.
  • Transaction and Holdings account filters show each account's last-4 and apply as soon as you click (no separate Apply).
  • Insights can flag cash above your recommended reserve, ignore far-off goals that should not block that card, and weigh a taxable brokerage beside cash on low-cash emergency-fund cards.
  • Unknown holding symbols resolve through Twelve Data when there is a single market match, so more positions get a live price.
  • The Equity page is available to every household (no longer behind a feature flag).

Bug fixes

  • Household Forecast clears Needs review that members cannot fix, accepts negative assumption inputs, keeps per-person edits after reload, and leaves a stale primary's plan off the chart.
  • Vault upload, review, and preview flows are smoother, empty sidebar views stay hidden, and the root location is labeled No folder.
